Clean Up Day- 16th April at 1pm

We are going to have some regular Clean Up Days from now on, and we would appreciate as much help as possible. The date of this is going to be SATURDAY 16th APRIL and we aim to start at 1.00pm, so if any of you are green fingered we would love for you to come along and help. We need to start sweeping all the roads of our estate. Big thanks to the ladies, who done some work last week.
If you feel you can not help out, even if you take care of outside your own property, that would be a great help.
We will be putting a notice up at the entrance to the estate to remind you of this.
The Clean Up Team (the CUP) are still looking for more members, please let us know if you are interested in joining, The CUP go out every so often, for about 30 mins just giving the estate a quick going over.

Family FunDay

Well it’s that time of year again, when the Fun Team are beginning to organise this years event. The date is set for SAT 4TH JUNE, Bouncy Castles and DJ booked. So it is all systems are go.

If anyone has a business and would like to donate a prize of some sort can you please contact me via here or at 16 Oak Crescent. We had some great prizes last year, and hope to match it again this year. Thank you in advance if you can donate something.

Even if you want to help out with donating food for the day that would be, for example someone from Rowan Glen has approached us saying they can bake us cookies and biscuits .. yum yum yum !!!!

Keep your eyes on this for more info; and the Fun Team will issue a News letter between now and then to let you know more about the day (prob in May sometime).

Residents meeting with Gardai email from JACC

When we all last met in the courtyard,we spoke of hosting a Crime Prevention evening for the whole community rather than one estate at a time.I have now secured the Rugby club on Tuesday 19th October. The start time is 8:30pm.
Joining us on the night will be Sgt Dean Kierns ( county crime prevention officer ), our local community garda officers, members of the Joint Policing committee,The Mayor of Navan ( Cllr Phil Brennan ) and also an invitation has gone out to all our local Councillor’s and T.D’s to attend our public meeting regarding this serious issue. There will also be local media coverage on the night.
I am asking all J.A.C.C. members and Chairs of each resident association to spread the word in their own estates in regard to this meeting. To try and ensure a good attendance from their own estates. If you could pop info through all letter boxes, community pages, hang notice in front of estates to advertise night.I cannot express enough how important it is to have a good attendance on the night. It will be our only opportunity to have all relevant groups under the one roof together.

The best way to tackle crime is to work together as a community and to speak directly to the people who can make a difference.I feel it is important that the residents in our community should be heard.NOW IS YOUR CHANCE.Johnstown needs a sub garda station and I hope to high light this need on the night.

Please let me know your thoughts on this issue.
