Sports Clinic for kids starting soon.
A chairde please find attached the application forms for this years Sports Clinic Week. It starts on Wednesday 25th May to Friday 27th May. It will only run for 3 nights this year in the Rugby club from 6pm to 9pm. IT’S FREE FOR ALL CHILDREN. Meath sports partnership are working with us again this year to facilitate this event. There will be Rounders, FAI soccer and tag rugby.
Last year was a great success and by popular demand we decided to run it again this year. Can you all ensure that an application form goes through every door within your estate and I would need them back to me within the next two weeks. The coaches for each sporting event need an idea of how many children they will be dealing with in order to make sure there are enough coaches there. The age group is from 6 years to 17 years.
You can call me on 087 7930358 and I will pick them up from your area or you can drop them to 22 The Drive, Athlumney Abbey. Looking forward to seeing you all there.

Update J.A.C.C. Games
We have now formed the community games sub committee from our meeting last Thursday night (Thursday 27th, January).The night was very successful and the three sporting fields were chosen.We hope to get as many children in our community involved and also we need some volunteer’s to help out our coaches.All training comes under the Community games insurance.
I would appreciate if you all could get a copy of the application form attached to every resident in your area as soon as possible as training will begin soon.All applications should be dropped back to me.My address is 22 The Drive, Athlumney Abbey.or phone me on 087 7930358 and I will collect.

AGM for the Johnstown Athlumney Communtiy Council
There will be an AGM for the Johnstown Athlumney Communtiy Council taking place on the 10th of March at 8pm sharp in the Ardboyne Hotel.The AGM is open to every resident that lives in the Johnstown Athlumney community.Every body has a… vote on the night.You must be present on night in order to vote.Voting will be a show of hands.
The positions are 1.Chairperson , 2. Vice Chairperson , 3. Secretary , 4. Treasurer , 5. Public Relations Officer.

The Johnstown Athlumney Community Council are delighted that the CPO on lands in Johnstown for the construction of an education… campus which will include a special needs school,primary school and and a secondary school have finally begun.There has been a shortage of spaces in both primary and secondary level for far too long.Parents should not have to send their children outside their own community for education and We are glad that this issue is being addressed.
