Is anyone free this Friday morning at around 10am to help me tidy up the flower beds at the front of the estate? It needs to be weeded and fresh bark to put in. I’ll have gloves, bags and bark with me in the morning. Thanks and see you then!

Let’s keep OUR estate clean all the time. Please tidy around your house, please sweep the road around your place and if you are walking along the estate and notice any litter please pick it up. If you need garden gloves or some bags, please contact us, and we’ll provide some.
Meath County Council’s 2014 Anti-Litter League will commence on Monday 3rd March 2014 and will last for 6 weeks up to 13th April 2014. There are categories for Villages and Towns and also for a variety of Housing Estates depending on the numbers of houses. The competition is primarily to have litter removed prior to the growth of hedges and grass which sometimes covers over large amounts of litter. In previous years we have had in excess of 120 groups involved and we expect an increase in the number of applicants in 2014 which is such an encouragement in these difficult economic times.

Today (26th September) a resident from our estate ( who is a landscaper by trade) was very obliging and sprayed weed killer around the estate, along kerbs, green edges and also around some trees and lamp posts; where he did not do, due to lack of time he will do over the next few days. Whilst doing this he cut down some dead branches of trees. We would like someone from each road to collect and dispose of these branches that have been left on the ground. So if you see loose branches on the green near your house can you please dispose of them. Many Thanks. A huge thanks to John for doing this massive job for us as well.

We are asking people in all estate to sweep and weed their front gardens and the road near you. It’s too big job for 3 ladies to do it all. It will not take lots of your time and the place will look NICE and CLEAN.
