Message in the bottle

Hi All,
Here is something to not if you know anybody who are elderly or vulnerable and have a medical condition MESSAGE IN A BOTTLE was launched by Navan Lions Club in Navan on the 7 February 2013. The scheme provides the emergency services with vital medical information contained in a plastic bottle which is kept in the fridge. Vulnerable people or anyone with a medical condition can enter their details on a form kept inside the bottle. It will include a photograph, health details, emergency contacts, relevant doctors and wether there are pets inside the home that need looking after. The scheme will be free to the user. Navan Lions Club are providing the bottles at present. Since the Home Security Exhibition last Saturday a number of companies and Community Alert groups have taken a interest in distributing the bottles to individuals in their areas who they feel would benefit from this scheme. At a minimum it will save the Emergency Services valuable time identifying you and your emergency contacts. By telling whether you have a special medical conditions or allergies could prove a potential lifesaver and provides peace of mind to users, their friends and families. If there is anybody interetsted in getting these bottles for their groups please make contact with myself or the Lions Club who meet in the Newgrange Hotel, Navan every week. The Lions Club look for a small donation of 50 cent per bottle.
