Message from Crime Prevention Officer

Think of ways to have a safe Halloween.

Remove bangers/reworks from your child if you discover them in their possession. Check with your local authority for family-friendly Halloween events and licensed reworks displays taking place in your area.

Educate your child to have respect for older, vulnerable people in the community.

Always be mindful of where your child is during Halloween, where they are going and what time they will be back.

Take responsibility. Ensure that your child does not cause injury to either  themselves or others.

Dear Residents,

If you’re trimming bushes/trees in your garden, please take care of the brunches and don’t leave them on the green areas. Lots of branches were left at the little green area (at apartments parking area)  in front of 1-4 The Park. Please look after the estate! I collected  3 brown bins of branches. Thanks for the residents, who let me use their bins. It’s OUR estate, so please take care of it.

Johnstown Tidy Towns clean up day

https://www.facebook.com/events/1756605761254375/

Everyone welcome to come and help out at our first Johnstown tidy towns clean up day 8th October 11am -6pm.  Meeting at 11am at Hickeys pharmacy entrance for a general clean up along the main road and into the various estates. For those who can’t meet up on the day, maybe you could do a tidy up of you’re own area…and let’s hope this can be the start of a new, cleaner, smarter looking Johnstown.
