Broadband update Athlumney Wood

At the January meeting of the Navan Municipal District meeting I raised the issue of the lack of broadband for Athlumney Wood due to the fact that the cabinet at the entrance had not yet been enabled.
Today I received the following response from Eir in respect of this issue and I hope that this will see this positively resolved.
“Dear councillor,
A number of issues regarding a Wayleave had to be resolved before permission to proceed could be granted. These issues have now been resolved and Eir’s contractor, KNN, should have the written permission required later this week. Once permission is received, work to erect the Fibre Cabinet will commence, expected to be next week.
All Works, ESB connection, Connecting Fibre cable, Copper Cables and testing should be completed within 3 to 4 weeks.
Fibre powered Broadband should therefore be available in this area by Mid-March

Trees… Updates (look at Replies)

Meath Co.Co. Public lighting section are cutting down trees in the estate. All trees within 7m from the light pole will go down. It has nothing to do with the Residents Association. All complains should go to Meath County Council by Telephone : or by Email at: publiclighting@meathcoco.ie

The complain was sent yesteday to Co.Co. Public lighting Department (case number 36266 ) and to local councillors. More people complain the better… At the moment it’s not a good news. I’ll put any updates I’ll have asap. Thanks.
