Trees

Having contacted Andrews Construction with regards the cutting down of trees, we have a reply from them. This is what they have replied to us: “The trees that were removed were so done on the Instructions of the Public Lighting Department of Meath County Council as part of the Taking in Charge process. These trees were deemed to be obstructing or potentially obstructing the lights. We have now agreed that the remaining trees falling into this category will be pruned rather than removed.”

We have also been informed because of the potential obstructions, these trees will not be replanted.

Unfortunate, this is way beyond our control, and there is nothing that we can do.

The blocked main drain

There was an incident last week, when some residents had to call the builders to unblock the main drain in the estate. It took the builders almost two hours to carry out this job. The drain had been blocked by nappies/baby wipes. To prevent this from happening again, please be careful what you flush down your toilet. Nappies and other sanitation should not be flushed down toilets. Not only will your drain be blocked, but also, the main drain in the estate could be blocked too.

Thank you for your co-operation on this matter.
